MR540 / MR580

The MR540 / 580 is equipped with a 4-axis motion control IC "MCX314AL" with interpolation function. It is a motion control board that supports USB / LAN interface. MR540 and MR580 can perform independent positioning control and speed control of 4 axis and 8 axis servo motor and stepping motor respectively. Up to 16 units (128 axes) can be connected via LAN / USB bus.

Arc / Linear / Continuous interpolation function

MR540 can choose 2 or 3 axis for 2 axis / 3 axis linear interpolation, CW / CCW arc interpolation, 2 axis / 3 axis position mode interpolation (interpolation based on the bit data of the CPU); MR580 can Two or three axes of the main substrate and the additional four-axis substrate are selected respectively, and the above-mentioned interpolation operation is performed in two types. (* Note 1) In addition, as shown on the right, continuous interpolation can be performed freely by combining linear and circular interpolation without stopping the interpolation drive. Since the flash memory on the main baseboard saves the continuous interpolation data to run the interpolation drive, the continuous interpolation drive can be controlled without being restricted by communication with the computer and the OS.

Note 1: Interpolation operations across the main board and additional boards cannot be implemented, and two continuous interpolation actions cannot be performed simultaneously.

Parabolic S-shaped acceleration and deceleration

In addition to the usual linear acceleration / deceleration drive (trapezoidal drive), parabolic S-shaped acceleration / deceleration drive is also possible. The S-shaped acceleration / deceleration drive is shown in the figure on the right. Even if the number of output pulses is small, it will not deviate from the S-shaped curve and is always smooth.
