MC8082P is equipped with two universal 4-axis motion control ICs "MCX304", which are circuit boards corresponding to PCI buses. One board can independently control the positioning and speed of each axis of the 8-axis servo motor and stepper motor.
MC8082P uses the MC8000P device driver, which can be used in the same system with MC8022P (2 axis) / MC8042P (4 axis) / MC8082P (8 axis).
Although it is a compact PCI, it can control 8-axis motors simultaneously and independently. The signals necessary for the drive pulse output and the stroke sensor input are distributed to the connectors on the back. The encoder input, general-purpose output, and drive operation signals are arranged on the base board and are available when necessary.
Because the MCX304 has an automatic return-to-origin function, the MC8082P greatly reduces the burden on user programs. A series of actions such as high-speed origin search → low-speed origin detection → encoder Z-phase search → deviation counter clear output → offset movement → position counter clear can be automated.
In addition to the usual linear acceleration / deceleration drive (trapezoidal drive), parabolic S-shaped acceleration / deceleration drive is also possible. The S-shaped acceleration / deceleration drive is shown in the figure on the right. Even if the number of output pulses is small, it will not deviate from the S-shaped curve and is always smooth.
In the evaluation tool program, motion evaluation can be easily performed.
