MC8581P is a motion control card for PCI bus, equipped with two high-performance 4-axis motion control ICs MCX514. With one card, you can control eight-axis stepping and the position or speed of the servo motor.

Compared with the old control card, the tween function is more fulfilling. The linear tween can control up to 8 axes. In addition, it has CW / CCW arc tweening (up to two), 2 to 4 axis bit tweening, and CW / CCW spiral tweening (up to two) control.

Up to 8 axes of linear tween on any axis, CW / CCW arc tween, 2-axis / 3-axis / 4-axis bit mode tween, spiral tween, continuous tween 8-segment pre-buffer, short-axis pulse uniformity, linear velocity constant mode Wait. It adds features, is easier to use, and can implement more various tweens.

  • 8-segment pre-buffer
  • In order to correspond to high-speed continuous tween driving, 8 pre-buffer registers are provided for storing the end point data of each segment. When performing continuous tweening as shown on the left, it does not matter if a segment as short as Seg3 exists. As long as the average moving time of eight segments containing Seg3 is longer than the writing time of the next segment, continuous tweening can be done.

  • Spiral tween
  • Spiral tween is the function of XY plane arc tween while other axes move along. The figure on the left is an example of moving the Z axis in the + direction based on the arc tweening of the XY plane.

    This control card is equipped with free speed range function. The output speed range is from 1pps to 8Mpps. All speeds can be set in 1pps units.

    When using traditional speed multiplier with constant speed,
    · For low-speed micro settings, set the speed multiplier to small → Cannot move to high-speed drive
    · To perform high-speed driving, set the speed magnification to a large value → Fine driving speed cannot be set

    Synchronous action is the function of interlocking execution of certain specified actions after certain specified starting elements occur. Since it does not need to be controlled by the CPU, it is possible to perform the specified actions at higher speed and accuracy.

    Each axis can perform 4 sets of synchronous action settings. One set of synchronous actions is composed of one designated activation element and one designated action.
    There are 6 types of starting elements: designated position, start / end drive, and built-in timer. In addition, there are 22 types of actions including start / stop drive, storage of current position count, multi-purpose register, and write drive speed.

    The S-shaped acceleration / deceleration adopts a linear increase / decrease acceleration and deceleration, so the speed curve becomes a quadratic parabola acceleration / deceleration.
